I see stylized photos of flowers in stores and I think they're pretty cool. So why not take some real photos of my own and play around with them in photoshop to give a fabricated feel. An Andy Warhol-esque picture is in my future. Topic: Gerberas, of course!
Gazania flowers open and close with the daylight and are a drought-resistant flower. After a light morning sprinkle and before the heat of the day evaporated them, water droplets settled on Gazania petals in the back garden.
What a weird word to look at - "fuchsia". That's what this is though. And it's absolute perfection. If there was a contest for being perfect, Ms. Gerbera here would be a fan favourite. It hasn't even a single bent petal or bit of an askew tilt anywhere. Ridiculous how amazing nature can be.
Whoever's been doing their rain dance needs to stop because it's been raining in the Lower Mainland for I've lost count now how many days on end (or so it seems...). Flowers like these Gerbera Daisies need some serious sun. I'm not a big proponent of artificial things, but a 'hip, hip, hooray' for greenhouses and artificial light.
