A Couple Hours Around Kelowna Gets You…

... boating, feeding some ducks, taking the dog out, swimming, eating out, walking the boardwalk, watching the birds at the lagoon sanctuary, crossing paths with some deer, enjoying the lake vista... And that's just what part of an afternoon gives you. A whole day can be exhausting.

A Day in Vancouver Life

Went into the city a couple weekends ago. Three things became apparent after watching this video:

1) Keeping a steady hand while walking with a camera is as easy as buttering toast while riding a wooden rollercoaster,
2) One of my lenses is plenty dirty, and
3) Tourists will pet anything - even inanimate statues.

Girls, Beer, Prizes

How anybody learns english properly is an amazing feat to me. Just look at this sign. Each time I read it I interpreted it differently. Is it:

"Bud Light Lime. Sampling Girls & Prizes!" meaning girls will circulate with samples of Bud Light Lime and you can win prizes.

OR

"Bud Light Lime. Sampling girls & Prizes!" meaning you can have some Bud Light Lime and sample different girls but I'm not sure what exactly the prizes would be for in this case.

OR

"Bud Light Lime Girls. Sampling & Prizes!" because someone had run out of room when they started writing the sign and didn't end up spacing the lines properly.

I can find out Sept 5 apparently.

No Vermouth, No Ice

"What'd you do last night?"
"Oh, I repeatedly threw olives into a glass and made a splash."

Okanagan Life

A backyard view over Lake Okanagan. No wonder the Okanagan Valley is popular with retirees, hockey players and word was at one point that Arnold Schwarzenegger had a summer home here too. It's the closest thing we come to Arizona north of the 49th parallel.
