Seat Yourself
Nary a soul was around this path leading to a most serene seating area of reflection at an Okanagan Falls winery. It brought Robert Frost's The Road Not Taken to life: "I took the road less traveled by, and that has made all the difference." The only thing missing was the actual glass of wine because, afterall, the combination of poetry and wine is as natural a match as chocolate and peanut butter. But what about poetry and wine and chocolate? ... hmmm... with peanut butter later of course. Oh, and cheese because there's wine. I need a really big picnic basket.
See Ya Later Winery Sees a Lot
A drive up the hill to See Ya Later Ranch Winery in Okanagan Falls is worth the trip. It's also a dog-friendly winery, but your pooch needn't be an upscale connoisseur to enjoy the offerings at See Ya Later. The view of the vineyard alone amongst the mountains right down to Skaha Lake is absolutely fantastic. You can enjoy a glass of wine on the patio, listen to music and enjoy this view. When you live here you don't have to travel to Napa Valley in California to see picturesque vineyards... we have our own Okanagan Valley in British Columbia. It's just as good. Maybe even better!
