Repetition for the Eyes
Patterns in nature make up very interesting exercises for the eyes. The gradation in colour here emulates a sunset, changing from yellow at the centre apex to red towards the bottom. Discover other cool photos along the same lines of patterns in flora at National Geographic.
Face the Light
I hate getting up early. Sunrise scenes like this though at Canada Place with a camera phone in hand make it worthwhile losing out on some sleep.
A Side of Red
This time of year we're in for a few months of dreary weather. It'll be a while until we see these in the yard again, so good thing there's flower shops (and indoor DIY macro flower studios...) that make these colours available year round.
The Sunset Scene
The sun sets in the West, and the West Coast is a great place to be if you're a fan of catching glimpses of spectacular colour combinations. They come in all shapes and colours, with accessories too like a reflective cloud seen here.
Calla Lillies Thrice
Remember for school photos you were told to wear a good colour? And how you're supposed to wear the right coloured shirt to a job interview? I see why - here it's the same calla lily in each panel, but I feel differently about each one because of the colour backing it up. The leftmost one is cheerful, the middle one is relaxed and the one on the right is down to earth.
