Repetition for the Eyes
Patterns in nature make up very interesting exercises for the eyes. The gradation in colour here emulates a sunset, changing from yellow at the centre apex to red towards the bottom. Discover other cool photos along the same lines of patterns in flora at National Geographic.
Clouding Over
Popularly known by its latin name, this white echinacea has an expression that visually represents today's weather: cloudy, dreary and a bit disappointing.
White and Bright
I've found white flowers the most difficult so far to photograph. It's hard to avoid them looking flat when they're lit up. And they always need some cleanup; stray pollen grains, bits of fuzz stuck on the petals.... things you don't see until you look at it through a macro lens! Q-tips come in handy. So do small fingers with a dainty touch.
Saturated With Colour
It's not only roses at the Stanley Park Rose Garden. Some afternoon sun and a backdrop of yellow flowers came together nicely to highlight an appealing purpleish/pinkish daisy.
After the Rain
Well, ok, this photo of a wet coneflower was taken in the southern Okanagan where rain can be a rare commodity. So instead of "After the Rain" it's more like "After the Garden Irrigation System".

Everything’s Coming Up Daisies
... or at least I think this is a daisy. There were so many flowers to choose from at Van Dusen Botanical Gardens. Most of them labeled, but I couldn't keep them all straight.
