Bee-lieve It Or Not, Daylight Saving is Ending

Daylight Saving Time is ending this weekend, which is when we turn our clocks back one hour. It's been summer-like weather here in Vancouver the last few days, and I'm a bit sad because turning the clock back means going back to the days when we get up and go to work in the dark.... and leave work and go home in the dark. Fewer hours of daylight mean less opportunity to see things like this. I'll have to find some interesting things to take pictures of in the dark. Or start using the flash.
Mum’s the Word
It was back into the macro studio with some fresh cut flower stems. A spider mum this time, also known as a football mum. There's a fly in the apartment, and these flowers are known for their ability to produce a natural insecticide, so we'll see just how long this fly ends up flying around in here.
Calla Lillies Thrice
Remember for school photos you were told to wear a good colour? And how you're supposed to wear the right coloured shirt to a job interview? I see why - here it's the same calla lily in each panel, but I feel differently about each one because of the colour backing it up. The leftmost one is cheerful, the middle one is relaxed and the one on the right is down to earth.
