A Resounding Sigh (of Disappointment)
Summer's over, and Daisy here feels just as crushed as most people do about that fact.
Flawed by Nature
As beautiful as a flower may be, its imperfections like these petals on the verge of dropping are what make particular stems so much more interesting and appealing.
Supertunia
Super trailing petunias, or Supertunias, are a fountain of colour throughout the summer. Here's a bright eyeful of a pink version. For you non-green thumbs out there these are low maintenance and easy to grow.
Perennial Daylilies
Daylilies come up every year in the garden, serving as a popular rest stop for butterflies, bees and anyone else seeking pollen.
Lemony Singles

It's always a challenge to keep fresh roses for an extended period. I've heard of adding a penny to the vase water, or mixing in a crushed Tylenol tablet in order to help preserve flowers. Barring these suggested solutions, I find that a photograph is the best way to keep flowers fresh for a looong time.
Everything’s Coming Up Daisies
... or at least I think this is a daisy. There were so many flowers to choose from at Van Dusen Botanical Gardens. Most of them labeled, but I couldn't keep them all straight.
Pretty in Pink
The cherry blossoms are out, so that means it's Spring. The colours were remarkable against a clear blue sky. My allergies are telling me Spring has sprung too... achoo!
