Girls, Beer, Prizes

How anybody learns english properly is an amazing feat to me. Just look at this sign. Each time I read it I interpreted it differently. Is it:

"Bud Light Lime. Sampling Girls & Prizes!" meaning girls will circulate with samples of Bud Light Lime and you can win prizes.

OR

"Bud Light Lime. Sampling girls & Prizes!" meaning you can have some Bud Light Lime and sample different girls but I'm not sure what exactly the prizes would be for in this case.

OR

"Bud Light Lime Girls. Sampling & Prizes!" because someone had run out of room when they started writing the sign and didn't end up spacing the lines properly.

I can find out Sept 5 apparently.

No Vermouth, No Ice

"What'd you do last night?"
"Oh, I repeatedly threw olives into a glass and made a splash."

A Line of Quails’ Gate Wine

The tasting bar at Quails' Gate Winery in West Kelowna was bustling this past weekend. Glasses were lined up and ready to go. They must have a high capacity dishwasher for fine stemware, or somebody with quick but dishpan hands!
Even if you aren't a wine drinker, the vistas alone are worth a visit...

Belly Up to the Bar

One has to be mindful of the establishment they're in before they order a beverage like the one listed on the bottom of this specials board. I can only imagine the different versions that could be delivered to the table.

Freedom From Hangovers

A fundamental in retailing is to shelve related categories of products together. Some shopper brought this package of hangover-avoidance pills over from the pharmacy and left them on these cases of beer in the refrigerated section of the supermarket. I'm guessing they were planning ahead, then figured they'd just take their chances.
