Granny Smith

I was expecting to see a park filled with apple trees given this park sign (i.e. the granny smith apple variety). Then I read that the commemoration of this park in Port Coquitlam was to an actual Granny Dorothy Smith. Good thing the A&W Restaurant sign in the background wasn't advertising the Granny burger instead of the Papa burger. That just wouldn't have been appropriate.

Goose Throwdown in the Railyard

I don't know what it means when a Canada Goose sticks its tongue out, but I don't think it's complimentary. The above was accompanied by some charging at others one rainy morning in a railyard. A scuffle then ensued, which was refereed by the goose to the left below:

Vancouver Superdogs Material

Inspired by all the Superdogs shows I've seen at the Pacific National Exhibition, I had fun practicing some action shots of a dog I met at McLean Park on the weekend. Wally is a Golden Lab / Pitbull / Rhodesian Ridgeback mix that was adopted from the Vancouver pound. Between the slobber and the rain I needed a good towel off afterwards, as did Wally:
