Frog Legs

An outing in Stanley Park never ceases to amaze me because I so often come across something odd and wonderful, and always when I least expect it. I met this fellow near the entrance to the park. His name is Kermit of course. What else would it be?!

  1. So much nicer to see the legs on the frog than on a plate. Good shot:)

  2. what a gorgeous shot of a frog in a pond – is he looking for a lily to jump on?

  3. They say frog legs taste like chicken, but I can’t attest to it from personal experience. This was one giant froggie – I’d say a good solid pound at least in weight. He made quite the splash in the pond!

  4. There wasn’t much ‘furniture’ in the water for him yet. Maybe it’s too early in the season for lily pads? It was a rare sunny and warm afternoon – we’ve had so few of them so far this year. I think he was taking advantage of basking and tanning those green skins of his.

  5. wow, what a wonderful shot!

  6. Thank you! I’m glad he/she/it stayed still long enough :)
