Canucks Cubed

I've always wanted to have the Canucks hockey team in my own living room, and now thanks to Spencer Dubas' creativity I kind of do. He created patterns that you print out then cut and fold to form these three dimensional characters. Warning that if you like the Canucks and you like being crafty then you're going to get addicted to making these. If you've done origami or napkin folding in a restaurant in the past, that may give you a leg up on the manufacturing process involved here. Download the patterns to make them for your own fun, and keep checking back because it gets updated with more players pretty regularly.

Ha — those are cute! I must admit, though, I’ve never been very accomplished at origami. The project usually results in a crumpled up wad of frustration….or worse, a lopsided version of what it’s supposed to be. So, if I attempted this, their little hockey legs could end up on their heads.

Good for you Kat they look great! I can certainly relate to your saying that your fingers kind of hurt that is so apt. I’m finding them quite hard to do as my fingers appear to be very large. I had big plans to do the whole roster but I’m not so gung ho now. Goon on ya!
ps. followed the link that you put on Spencer’s page
