Flooded Out

Every part of the world has its own version of a winter, and this is Vancouver's. It's been too warm for snow... imagine if all this rain had come down as frozen precipitation! If there's any farm animals living in this field, I hope they have flippers. Or at least pool noodles to float on.

  1. That’s a wet, sloppy, gloomy winter! I’d rather have snow. This farm could be a new fishing hole.

  2. Not much to catch there though except maybe an errant bottle cap or pile of soppy weeds. Come to think of it though, that isn’t so much unlike my fishing skills on a real lake. I hate when you think you have something good and heavy on the line then you pull it up only to disappointingly find a mass of weeds!

  3. Haha — me too….one of the many reasons why I hung up my fishing line years ago. Although, I’ve been overhead once or twice threatening to try it again if I’m still in Florida when I’m in my 80′s. What a picture: A feisty octogenarian sporting a floppy hat standing at the end of a dock hauling in an impressive red grouper (I’ll be old, but strong) only for a great blue heron to swoop down and feast on it before I can unhook the aforementioned fish. Hmmm….maybe I should stick with photography. It’s not nearly as smelly (typically).
