White and Bright
I've found white flowers the most difficult so far to photograph. It's hard to avoid them looking flat when they're lit up. And they always need some cleanup; stray pollen grains, bits of fuzz stuck on the petals.... things you don't see until you look at it through a macro lens! Q-tips come in handy. So do small fingers with a dainty touch.

Your flower photos are very impressive!

Thanks very much for the compliment! I enjoy putting these together, also especially this time of year because it’s almost mood-altering – I feel like it’s sunny and spring-like, eventhough looking out the window it’s completely the opposite!

Remember the Seinfeld episode where Jerry’s date has ‘man hands’? Yeah…well…let’s say these phalanges aren’t going to be doing any dainty touching up with flowers! : ) I really like this shot. The purple hues for the background are perfect for the white flower.

I liked the look of white against purple as well – merci!
And, boy, do I ever remember that Seinfeld episode. I’ve seen probably every single Seinfeld episode 25 times, and I’m looking forward to seeing each one another 25. Man hands, close talkers, … festivus, vandelay industries, puffy shirts,… the kiss hello, the jerk store, tropic of cancer, “I don’t want to be a pirate!”… xD Man, I miss that show!

No wonder I get your sense of humor! I’m the same way. I watch those episodes over and over (and over) again. Face painters…the urban sombrero…and Mr. Pitman! Now, where’s my silverware….I have a Snickers to enjoy.

Ha! I have to go close the curtain because the glow from Kenny Rogers’ Fried Chicken fluorescent sign is driving me nuts!
