Calla Lillies Thrice
Remember for school photos you were told to wear a good colour? And how you're supposed to wear the right coloured shirt to a job interview? I see why - here it's the same calla lily in each panel, but I feel differently about each one because of the colour backing it up. The leftmost one is cheerful, the middle one is relaxed and the one on the right is down to earth.
After the Rain
Well, ok, this photo of a wet coneflower was taken in the southern Okanagan where rain can be a rare commodity. So instead of "After the Rain" it's more like "After the Garden Irrigation System".

Java Hut
I'm having fun with my new macro lens, getting up close and personal with one of my favourite noshes. Coffee beans brewed in hot water not only make a deliciously necessary morning beverage, they're also a snack that is tasty on their own. A warning though that weird looks will come your way when you reach into a bag and eat handfuls of coffee beans as you would popcorn or nuts. My poor teeth... I'll bet crunching on roasted coffee beans isn't recommended by even 1 out of 5 dentists.
Sunflower Seeds in the Making
You may recognize the popular snack item starting to grow in the bottom left hand corner of this photo amongst its flowers and the grains of pollen. I would've never guessed that the sunflower seeds I eat at one point looked like this.
Bee-ware
If you're a bit uncomfortable with the thought of getting close to a bee, here's your chance to stare one in the face from the comfort of your own seat. I think I'd ask Bee if it really is busy. I have a feeling that the saying "busy as a bee" is just a fabricated play on alliteration.
Everything’s Coming Up Daisies
... or at least I think this is a daisy. There were so many flowers to choose from at Van Dusen Botanical Gardens. Most of them labeled, but I couldn't keep them all straight.
