No Vermouth, No Ice
"What'd you do last night?"
"Oh, I repeatedly threw olives into a glass and made a splash."

Sharp!!
August 15th, 2010 - 13:19
Hah! Now, how many tries did that take, and were you even close to sober by the time you got it right? Good photo.

And caught a splash! Slick shot. I love the mid-air droplets, the magnified olives and the background. (I do hope this was just water…and not alcohol abuse.)
August 15th, 2010 - 18:58
There were probably many more takes than there should have been, but no alcohol was harmed nor wasted in the making of this photo
August 16th, 2010 - 21:25
What a shot!
August 17th, 2010 - 08:16
Definitely just water! I couldn’t afford to have wasted vodka like that… although wiping the glass with all that had spilled and splashed out would have cleaned it up good
August 17th, 2010 - 08:17
Thank you
By the end of it those olives had got a good washing!
August 19th, 2010 - 07:05
Sounds like the perfect way to spend an evening.
August 20th, 2010 - 07:09
The real beverage would have made it even more perfect, but that would have been an expensive evening because I had to keep refilling the glass after repeatedly splashing everywhere!

Very nice image. I do not like olives, but I have a friend that does and she has more glasses to try with. I love the inspiration to try something new, although oddly I had been thinking something along this line for a while. I am a relative newbie to photography and I do think you can learn something new most days.

I’m a newbie too, and there is seemingly a never-ending list of items to learn. After learning is done (which it never would be anyhow…), then there’s the creative aspect of it to build. It’s a hobby that is easily a fulltime job!
