Goats Telling Secrets

"Hey! Don't tell the cow over there, but we make better ice cream than they do, especially for the lactose intolerant people." Apparently goat's milk has superior digestibility than cow's milk, thanks to the casein curd which is more easily accepted by the human digestive system than that produced by bovine milk. And I can attest to ice cream made of goat's milk being just as tasty as ice cream made of regular milk -- P.S. I'll undertake such taste tests any day. Now, if only a normal tasting loaf of bread could be made for the gluten-intolerants like myself!

  1. Welcome back! Cute capture. Me too about the gluten-free comment!

  2. Thank you! It’s good to be back online :) So, do you have gluten allergy/intolerance too? We’ll have to swap recipes, etc…!

  3. Yep, I was diagnosed with a “mild intolerance” a few years ago, but it’s more than mild to me. I do my best to avoid gluten, which, as you know, is quite the adventure. If you have any tasty (read: yummy, delicious!) recipes, I’ll take ‘em! I’m no Betty Crocker but I’ve discovered a few good bread recipes (banana and pumpkin). More and more restaurants in my area are offering gluten-free menus. There’s even a gluten-free bakery in town. (Their blueberry muffins are a slice heaven!)

Regarding the sushi menu….I’m curious as to what ‘letters’ taste like.

  4. Excellent! I’ve come across some decent recipes for cookies and stuff too, so i’ll send them along to you. I still haven’t come across the ability to put the right ingredients together to make a truly good loaf of bread that people would think is ‘normal’, so i’m still searching. I find the best taste test to be getting people to try it and see if it tastes like it’s gluten free or not. You know how gluten free baked goods usually have that je ne sais quoi (which is not necessarily good)! haha I’m the same as you, having a mild reaction, so it’s become far more comfortable to avoid the consequences by avoiding gluten. But i miss ordering a pizza!!

I’m not sure what ‘letters’ taste like on that sushi menu, but there certainly seem to be a lot of them, and the wrong ones to boot! haha
