Seat Yourself

Nary a soul was around this path leading to a most serene seating area of reflection at an Okanagan Falls winery. It brought Robert Frost's The Road Not Taken to life: "I took the road less traveled by, and that has made all the difference." The only thing missing was the actual glass of wine because, afterall, the combination of poetry and wine is as natural a match as chocolate and peanut butter. But what about poetry and wine and chocolate? ... hmmm... with peanut butter later of course. Oh, and cheese because there's wine. I need a really big picnic basket.

  1. I think I can see forever from here!

  2. The pairing of a beautiful landscape and a wide angle lens :)

  3. Chocolate and peanut butter?! Chocolate and coffee, oh yes. Chocolate and tea, OK. But peanut butter . . .
Peanut butter has to be eaten with marmalade, surely everyone knows that:)

  4. I’ll take peanut butter with marmalade any day too – that’s akin to the sandwich staple of every North American kid (and adult…!) –> a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Yum! If you like chocolate and peanut butter, then do try them together. You’ll have a whole new lease on life. Reese’s is a total hit in my books :)

  5. OK I’ll see what I can find and give it a go. Don’t want to miss out! But not sure that I’ll be able to manage much choice of manufacturer over here. By the way, is it dark chocolate or milk chocolate?

  6. Either type of chocolate will do. Do you not have Reeses chocolate bars for sale there? Or something called Nutella on the grocery shelves in the peanut butter section? Nutella is wickedly delicious too — it’s ground up hazelnuts and dark chocolate mixed together into a paste you spread on toast… or anything… I actually just dig into the Nutella jar with a spoon and eat it straight up! HIGHLY recommended. But self control is required :)

  7. No Reeses that I have ever seen but yes to Nutella. And indeed I have been known to dive straight in there with the spoon, and to have it on toast. But, the calories!
