The Land That Ugly Forgot The Bewildering, Beautiful and Blithe Happenings Around Vancouver, BC

Baby You Can Drive My Car

Vancouver is definitely one of the coolest places to live, but the problem is a lot of people think so. This is what traffic at night on Highway #1 looks like if you were to look at the highway from an overpass and keep your eyes open for 10 seconds. Being a city of bridges, generally no matter when you're planning on going into or coming out of town, you have some sort of gridlock to deal with. Or facing the conundrum of where on earth to park the car that gets you downtown when you need to go downtown is another pitfall. And soon there's tolls coming on the new Port Mann bridge. No such thing as a free ride.

  1. Awesome image! Very cool. I had no idea the traffic was so bad there. A couple of friends just returned from vacationing in that area and had a great time.

  2. Wonderful pic. What is the population of your area re acreage?

  3. Good question! I had to look that one up > Vancouver population density is 735 people per square kilometre. Density is ranked 2nd in Canada… Toronto is 1st. I can verify by traffic in both cities that i think these rankings are accurate!
