What the Buzz Is All About
If you ever want to attract bees, Allium (flowering onion) seems to be a good way to go. It's a popular locale for buzzing in the backyard.

Many thanks for your kind comment. They look quite pretty, but those stingers can sure hurt!

Doesn’t look like a honey bee to me, rather a small bumble bee. If I am right, then it will not sting you. They can sting, but very rarely do, I have picked up loads of them. Its honey bees who sting, plus of course, wasps. I swear that a wasp once flew all the way across a river just to land on me and sting me, and then flew back again!

You mean I didn’t have to endure raised blood pressure while sitting amongst the bees afterall? Geez, that would have saved a lot of excess and unnecessary stress if I’d known that in hindsight!
