The Land That Ugly Forgot The Bewildering, Beautiful and Blithe Happenings Around Vancouver, BC

Upstairs, Downstairs

Living in an apartment block comes with many hazards. It is also often an interesting place to live when you're a bit nosy like I am. I was passing by this doorway and was immediately intrigued by a handwritten post-it note stuck on the front door so I had to investigate. The addition of the sad and happy smiley faces is a nice touch.

  1. You are sneaky! I’m not quite sure how I’d react to such a note. Seems a bit passive-aggressive. Why leave a note when you can politely approach the occupants in person when the ball bouncing is occuring? That being said, the frown and smiley face are kinda funny.

  2. I agree – it is kind of along the lines of the why send an email or text message when you can instead phone or talk in person. It’s the less confrontational way to approach it, but anyhow you’d think the people living there would already realize that bouncing a ball disturbs the occupants below — or at least that the parents realize that their kids’ activity would be disturbing to the occupants below…. I’d like to think it’s not adults bouncing the ball around….! haha
